LENT 2025

2 March [1938].
I’ve started Lent just as Jesus wanted, submitting completely to His holy will and accepting with love everything He sends me. (Diary 1625)

As we enter the season of Lent, like St. Faustina, let us listen to the desires of Jesus. We can learn His will above all in the Word of God, which the Church gives us during this time
St. Faustina was convinced that God’s will was mercy itself, so she accepted everything from God’s hand with great love.
Let us learn from our Saint so that this time of penance bears good fruit in our lives and prepares our hearts for the Paschal Feast. On the Feast we experience the most important truth of our faith that Jesus loves us so much that he died on the cross for our salvation and rose from the dead revealing himself as the Lord of life and death.

In addition to participating in Lenten devotions, we encourage you to read the Word of God every day and read the Diary – especially the passages about how St. Faustina lived the time of Lent and those describing the passion of the Lord Jesus.

One hour of meditation on My bitter Passion is of greater merit than a whole year of flagellation even to the drawing of blood; contemplating My painful wounds is very profitable for you, and it pleases Me very much. (Diary 369)
