St. Joseph is a special patron of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, as well as of all Apostles of Divine Mercy! Saint Faustina wrote about him in her Diary: “He looked at me with great kindness and let me know that he was very much in favour of this work…” (Diary 1203)
Let us therefore entrust to the care of St. Joseph, the entire “Faustinum” Association, remembering that in this current year dedicated to St. Joseph, we can obtain a plenary indulgence (under the usual conditions) by, among others, following St. Joseph’s example of performing a work of mercy for the body or the soul.
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy and courage,
and defend us from every evil. Amen.
(from the Apostolic Letter of Pope Francis Patris Corde)
